Old Testament - Summarized

Hello! Today there will be a special project: summarizing the thirty nine chapters, and overall flow of the Old Testament. Today will also be the New Testament summary. GENESIS God creates the earth and all the things and makes two "humans" in the Garden of Eden. However, they sin, and they depart from God. God promised them that their relationship to God will be restored and achieved by one of their descendants. Adam and Eve's son Cain kills his brother Abel, so he is forced to leave the household of Adam and Eve. Cain is cursed by God and despised by other people. Seth is born in place of Abel. Seth's descendant Noah is a righteous man, but all the other people are now evil, so Noah and his family builds a big boat (an ark), God floods the entire land, and Noah and his family starts humanity again, but now there are only descendants of Seth, not the descendants of Cain (evil). Noah has three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Through Shem he has a descendant named Abrah...

Hebrews 12 - Walkthrough and Announcement

Hello! Before we begin our daily Hebrews chapter, I have an announcement: Hebrews 13 on Thursday, 1 August is the last Hebrews daily chapter. Afterwards will be a two day inactive period because I am going somewhere. Afterwards, on Sunday, the normal schedule will be resumed and the first daily post will be Psalms. For Psalms, we will skim five chapters per day.  Schedule between 31 July to 5 August 31 July: Hebrews 12 1 August: Hebrews 13 2 August: Inactive 3 August: Inactive 4 August: Book of Revelation, Psalms 1-5, SFD, PH 5 August: Psalms 6-10 Anyways, let us commence Hebrews 12 summary: Hebrews 12 first continues Hebrews 11's topic about faith. It says that we should persevere and follow Jesus, who perfects faith and was crucified for us. He endured opposition from sinners, and we should do so too. The second part of Hebrews 12 is a new topic about how God  disciplines us. When struggling against sin, we must be encouraged and we must accept God's discipline and the...

Hebrews 11 - Walkthrough

Hello! Today's chapter Hebrews 11: Hebrews 11 is called Faith in Action, which is about confidence and assurance about what we cannot do ourselves but may act with God. By faith we can understand the Lord's power and that he created and redeemed us. With faith, Abel offered a better offering than Cain did and was commended as righteous. With faith, Enoch was taken up to heaven since he pleased God, but without faith he cannot please God. By faith Enoch did this. By faith Noah built the huge ark to save he and his family. By faith Abraham received the Promised Land. By faith Isaac and Jacob received the same promise as Abraham did. By faith Sarah was able to have children in old age. By faith these men (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob) had numerous descendants and left their old land for a new, better one. By faith Joseph was able to rise the ranks in Egypt. By faith Moses was adopted by the princess of Egypt. By faith he managed to leave egypt with all his Israelites and he passed throu...

Hebrews 9 - Walkthrough

Hello! Today is Hebrews 9, the fifth last Hebrews chapter: Hebrews 9's first part is called "Worship in the Earthly Tabernacle" and is about the Tabernacle that Moses set up, a very important thing in Jewish history,  and here the author discusses about its features. He says that the priest meticulously offers sacrifices in it, sacrifices that had blood. He will later compares this to the sacrifices of Jesus, the high priest. The second part, "The Blood of Christ" compares the high priests of the tabernacles to Jesus. The author says Jesus is a high priest more than any other, and he sacrificed his own blood, obtaining eternal redemption for us. The old Covenant was revolving around the Tabernacle and the High Priests, but the New Covenant revolved around Jesus, and it granted us salvation. That is Hebrews 9! The verse: 11  But when Christ came as high priest  of the good things that are now already here, [ a ]  he went through the greater and more perfect tabe...

Hebrews 8 - Walkthrough

Hello! Today's daily Hebrews chapter is Hebrews 8: Hebrews 8 is claled "The High Priest of a New Covenant". It says that we have a high priest, a leader, a holy one, one who sacrifices, and is in heaven - Jesus. Every high priest had to gather offerings to God, but Jesus' ministry is better than theirs, was a new covenant of even better promises. If the first covenant was perfect, the Lord did not need to send his Son Jesus to this earth. The Lord thought his people were unfaithful and sent his Son and with him a new Covenant is with us. That was short - 13 verses. Thanks for reading!:   Now the main point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest,   who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,   2  and who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord, not by a mere human being. Hebrews 8:1-2

Weekly Sunday Sermon - The Book of Jude

Hello all! Today, in my sunday school the topic is Jude (we are covering the NT books, and after Revelation the OT books). This is a summary of today's Jude lesson.  Subtopic 1 - Theme of Jude Jude was written by Jude, who was the brother of James, who was the brother of Jesus. Jude wrote this to Christians everywhere. The purpose of this letter was to warn them against false teachers and apostates among their community, but Jude originally wanted to make it a more hopeful letter about salvation, but the Holy Spirit encouraged him to warn them instead. Subtopic 2 - Apostates and Ungodly People Jude warned all the churches that there werre ungodly people among them, those who reject the Word of God and deny the sayings uttered by Jesus, and those who corrupt others. These people are called apostates.  He told the churches to keep the truth and do not fall to the ways of false teachers, for false teachers will be destroyed as they rebelled against God. We can differentiate...

Timothy Keller's "Freedom of Self-Forgetfulness" Overview.

Hello!  I have a short book written down by Timothy Keller, American pastor and theologian, and I want to review and overview the book. However, I will not include too much, as it is not a free book and I cannot give all its content away. Timothy Keller's first part simpky asks us "How do we know someone has been changed by the grace of God". He then focuses on 1 Corinthians 3-4 for the answer. This is 1 Corinthians 3:21-4:7: 21  So then, no more boasting about human leaders! All things are yours,  22  whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas [ a ]  or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours,   23  and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God. The Nature of True Apostleship 4  This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed.   2  Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful...

Hebrews 7 - Walkthrough

Hello! Today's Hebrews chapter is Hebrews 7. Hebrews 7 talks about a man called "Melchizedek", who was a priest probably living in the time of Abraham, who is a mysterious figure in the Bible. In Jewish culture at the time, he was a popular figure and priest, and was revered for his righteousness.  The author of Hebrews uses Melchizedek to tell the Jews that Jesus is the perfect high priest, above Melchizedek (remember that the Book of Hebrews were sent to the Jews by the author of Hebrews, and he (the author) often uses important Jewish figures). Jesus is a priest like him (Melchizedek) but even better, with an everlasting priesthood, who is holy and pure. And that's all!

Hebrews 6 - Walkthrough

Hello! All 31 proverbs daily chapters are complete, so its time for resuming the Hebrews Daily Project we paused in Hebrews 5. Here it goes, Hebrews 6: The first part of Hebrews 6 talks about being spiritually mature and faithful to God, and following his instructions and commandments. It is not impossible for a matured faithful person that obeys God to fall and in the middle of the way, reject the Lord, so watch out! The author of Hebrews, who is unknown, tells us to remember God is just and always right, he will not forget your love, faith and works, and we should keep the obedience and faith to God to the very end, snd not be lazy. In the second part of Hebrews 6, the author tells us that God promised Abraham that he and his descendants would be blessed by God, and Abraham received what God promised him. This example shows us that God fulfills all his promises - a true promise from the Lord has no other circumstance than execution.  That is Hebrews 6! The daily verse:, whi...

Arguments against Religions - 2nd Edition

Hello! I have already posted and written the Argument Against Every Major Religion, where I disprove and debunk other religions for further Christianity proof. I have disproven all Polytheistic and Reincarnational religions, and a few monotheistic religions, but I want to disprove more monotheistic religions to truly get it cleared up. Furthermore, I will also give some Q&A about religion. Bahai Faith The Bahai Faith is a fairly modern religion believing that you should take and follow all religions, and that they should be united. However, we have disproved many religions in my blog, and there is no reason to take from false religions. Also, there must be only one. Rastafari The Rastafari belief rejects Jesus as the Messiah, but rather someone called "Haile Selassie", which is basically Black Jesus. The Rastafaris reject and alter the Bible, and really it's just a wishful excuse to a time where the scattered Ethiopains in foreign nations were being oppressed. Furthe...

21 July Sunday Sermon: 2&3 John

Hello! Today's sunday I heard about 2 and 3 John, 2 books that succeed 1 John and precede Jude. Let's enter! Today's lesson is quite a short lesson. Subtopic 1 - Theme of 2 John 2 John was written circa 85 AD by the apostle John, the last living apostle at the time. It was written to a Christian family who seems to run a church. John wants to warn and advise them, but the letter is short, as he did not want to write, but see them face to face. Subtopic 2 - Contents of 2 John John tells them, and us, to walk in truth and love. John is happy they are walking in the truth, and the greatest joy is the joy of the knowledge of that you are walking in the truth, or someone you love is. He commands us to love one another, but do not welcome false teachers that reject the words uttered by Jesus. Subtopic 3 - Theme of 3 John 3 John was written around the same time as 2 John and 1 John, and was sent to Gaius, a friend of John. He wants to warn him and advise him, as it had been sixty...
