Hebrews 12 - Walkthrough and Announcement

Hello! Before we begin our daily Hebrews chapter, I have an announcement:

Hebrews 13 on Thursday, 1 August is the last Hebrews daily chapter. Afterwards will be a two day inactive period because I am going somewhere. Afterwards, on Sunday, the normal schedule will be resumed and the first daily post will be Psalms. For Psalms, we will skim five chapters per day.

Schedule between 31 July to 5 August

31 July: Hebrews 12

1 August: Hebrews 13

2 August: Inactive

3 August: Inactive

4 August: Book of Revelation, Psalms 1-5, SFD, PH

5 August: Psalms 6-10

Anyways, let us commence Hebrews 12 summary:

Hebrews 12 first continues Hebrews 11's topic about faith. It says that we should persevere and follow Jesus, who perfects faith and was crucified for us. He endured opposition from sinners, and we should do so too.

The second part of Hebrews 12 is a new topic about how God disciplines us. When struggling against sin, we must be encouraged and we must accept God's discipline and the Lord's rebuke, even if the rebuke is in a form of hardship. If you accept it, we will be well and we may be holy.

The third part of Hebrews 12 is about trying to live holy, by sending every effort to reach a holy life. We must work hard and be diligent in doing this. We cannot reject it, for you will regret resisting a life of holiness.

The fourth and last part of Hebrews 12 is called "The Mountain of Fear and the Mountain of Joy". It tells us we must worship the Lord and do whatever we can for Him, as he has brought us from judgement to being justified - from a mountain of Fear to a mountain of Joy.That's all! Goodbye!

And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Hebrews 12:1c
