Arguments against Every Major Religion

 Hello! I have written and compiled some of what I wrote. Basically, its a debunking that attempts to debunk as many major religions as possible, as well as atheism;

- all polytheistic religions and all reincarnation religions, which includes Hinduism, Paganism, Shintoism.

- monotheistic: Islam, Judaism, Sikhism, Zoroastrianism, Deism, Satanism.

- nontheistic: Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism.

- atheists: atheism.

All major religions included: Hinduism, Paganism, Shintoism, Islam, Judaism, Sikhism, Zoroastrianism, Deism, Satanism, Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Atheism. (All polytheistic religions also included).

Debunking Atheism, Polytheism, and Non-Christian Monotheism

Polytheism

Arguments against Polytheists

Hello! I may have already listed ten arguments against Atheism, but what about "Ok, if Atheism is false, what type of Theism is true?". Let's narrow the 4000 estimated religions to less with three arguments against Polytheism.

What is Polytheism?

Polytheism is the belief or religion believing in more than one God. There's 2 main types of religions: Polytheism and Monotheism. Polytheism believes in 2+, Monotheism only 1 main, supreme God.

Arguments against Polytheism

Argument One: The Sovereignty Argument

If there were two gods for example, in this scenario god A and god B (this applies to any quantity of deities, it gets worse the higher the amount), may have power over the universe, but they don't have power over one another, so they are not gods.

Argument Two: The Lesser God Argument

If there were "more powerful" and "less powerful" gods, that religion is contradicting itself, since if  one god(s) is over another, that means those lesser gods aren't really gods. Gods need to be something unsurpassable, so those lesser gods cannot be gods.

Argument Three: The Creation Argument

There must be one first god to believe in polytheism - they can't  all come at once. This is sort of a comsological argument - if there were five gods for example, there must be one source. And that must come from a god. So one of them are original. And a creator, even if equal to its creation, is more significant than its creation, so that means in every case of polytheism, there is a god over others, and then look at Argument Two.

Notation: With Argument 3, it says there must be one original, superior God first. And in Argument Two, all less gods are not true gods. Thus, these 2 arguments basically cooperate to disprove polyheism, as with any number of Gods, there must be one superior one, which really is monotheism. Basically, polytheism turns to monotheism just bevause of its inaccuracies.

The thing is, I can't really even think of an argument in the defence of polytheism.

Atheism

Five Arguments on God's Existence

  1. Ontological:

Roles:

Person A: The Prover

Person B: Atheist

Person A: Do you agree that if God existed, he would be the greatest thing imaginable and unsurpassable in a good way?

Person B: Yes.

Person A: And do you think "The greatest thing imaginable" exists in your mind?

Person B: Yes, but not in reality.

Person A: And do you agree that something in reality is greater than something only in the mind?

Person B: I guess so - a bottle of water is better in reality than only the idea of it n the mind.

Person A: So then, if God was only in the mind, and if He is the greatest thing imaginable, and the things in the mind is less, do you agree He is not the greatest thing imaginable then, contradicting what you said?

Person B: I suppose so.

Person A: And thus, God must exist - as to fulfill what He means, he must be in reality, thus God is real, both in the mind and reality.

Counter-Arguments and Responses

"Things in the mind are better than in reality, though.".

Answer: Would you rather dream of something or truly have it? Would you rather dream of happiness or be happy, for example?

  1. Cosmological

Roles:

Person A: The Prover

Person B: Atheist

Person A: Do you think everything must have a reason - a cause?

Person B: Yes.

Person A: So do you agree something cannot happen from notning?

Person B: Yes.

Person A: And how can the universe start then, if something needs a cause? An uncaused causer that is supreme must cause it, not mindless events and energy.

Person B: Maybe God does exist.

Person A: Yes, he does, as the universe needs an uncaused causer that has authority and wisdom. You got REKT

Counter-Arguments and Responses

"But what then caused God?".

God is described as a Uncaused Causer. To simplify this, think of it this way: God's existence is a constant truth - the type of truth that has and will always stay the same. 2+2 is an example of a constant truth - 2+2 will and has always been 4.

  1. Evidential

The Evidential Argument states that God is real because of his historical effect. Believers put a lot of effort to spread the Word, as they build churches, go on trips to spread it, and some even die trying to. This contrasts to what atheists do to convey their belief, which is mostly just ranting on social media. There were many eyewitnesses of Christ.

  1. Moral

The Moral argument can be simplified with this example:

Question: Is cannibalism good?

Answer: All of us know that it is not good.

Proving Point: But how do we know it is not good? There must be an enforcer, or a force in our hearts leafing them to the answer of "No, it is not".

And this enforcer and judge is God.

  1. Salvational

More of a reason why to be Christian thsn to prove of God's existence.

Let's create a chart, to explain the Salvational Argument:

                                 Atheist    Christian

If God exists            Bad         Good

If God dosent exist Nothing   Nothing

There are two sets, which is the Atheist one, where you probably get punished if God exists, and nothing if your view is correct, but if you're a Christian, there's a possibility you can be saved and have a "Good ending", rather than no good chances as an Atheist. Science does not have its salvation.

5 Arguments against the Arguments of Atheists

  1. But Science disproves God is real!!!!

No, it does not have any counterargument on God's existence. For example, evolution - people say "Evolution is real, and the Bible dosen't say its real, so the Bible isnt real". However, evolution is not even a confirmed theory and is flawed. Furthermore, God cannot be observed, so science could never disprove his existence. Also, most of the reason why you say this "Science dosen't prove God is real", is from science which has been studied from people who did know God was real, and the reason why the sciences were studied was because of the church, because they thought they should also study the creation of God. You couldn't argue about this if God wasn't real.

  1. "But Religion causes wars!!!!"

This is invalid, since most serious and terrible wars were not caused bevause of something religious - in fact, only 7% of all wars were caused by religion, and half of that small percentage is Islamic Wars, so Christianity is only around 3% of it all. Most atheistic countries are the ones that cause the most wars.

  1. "But atheistic countries are prosperous!"

It's also invalid, since the atheism did not cause the prosperity, but the prosperity to atheism. When a country prospers and does well, they tend to feel like they don't need God, and forget about Him. So, it's the other way around - atheism does not lead to prosperity in any form.

  1. "The Bible contradicts itself!!!!"

No, it does not. You're probably just reading it improperly, reading it in the wrong context or denying something. If there was a contradiction, Christianity, which is hundreds of years old by this point, will not be as big and would be rejected.

  1. "Why did God kill lots of people in the Bible, like in the Great Flood???"

God gives life and can take it away - it is already good for that person to live anyway. And the people that are killed are evil.

Monotheism (sorting from largest to smallest)

  1. Islam

Islam contradicts itself and puts itself into a Catch 22 (a situation in which all circumstances go to a similar result, which in this case, is its disproval). In Islam, they believe someone that looked like Jesus died on the cross. Yet, the Bible tells us Jesus himself died and predicted that he would die before he did. So, if he did not die on the cross, that would make Jesus a false prophet (while Islam says that Jesus was a true prophet). So, Islam has two choices: Saying that Jesus did die on the cross, meaning its "Holy" book is untrue, or saying he was a false prophet, also meaning the same result: It is untrue.

  1. Judaism

Judaists think that Jesus was not the messiah, but rather a Jew would come oncd all the Jews return to Israel. They trust the Old Testament, but not the New Testament. This is disproved, as the Old Testament clearly hints to Jesus. In Isaiah, it tells us the Messiah would come and that he would die in atonement. In Micah, it tells us that he would be born in Bethlehem. In Genesis, it told us it would come from Judah (in which Bethlehem was a part of), they predicted his name also in Isaiah, Immanuel, Jesus' name described in the bible,  spoke with parables, as predicted by the Old Testament again, and it told us Jesus would also redeem Gentiles from all nations, all of which hints to Jesus. It also predicts Jesus is our messiah; savior.

  1. Sikhism

Probably none of the readers know what this religion is (since outside the Abrahamic religions, most monotheistic religions are obsecure), but to put it simply, its a monotheistic religion from India. They believe in reincarnation as a living being in this world again. While it is true, but the second life is the afterlife, which never ends, they believe in the type of reincarnation a few other religions associate with - that you have another physical life, on the "journey" to become a god, which is sort of ridiculous, since a human cannot become a God, (God can become a human (Jesus)). God is an unsurpassable object, and we cannot reach infinity, since only God can. And if you say "Okay, but what if there's more than one God" just look at my debunking of polytheism. So if you became a God, that means you're not a God (this sentence only makes you notice if you read the polytheism debuking too). So basically, Sikhism believes in reincarnation where you eventually you become a god, but even if you do, you are lesser than the original one, so you're not a god, so its not true.

  1. Zoroastrianism

Zoroastrianism too probably you've never heard of, but it's a very interesting one nevertheless. It was founded in the 700s BC by a man named Zoroaster, and became the central religion in Persia until Persia was replaced and it went somewhat extinct. It believes in a rivalry between their god and basically a zoroastrian version of satan. Firstly, the "good", which is their god, and the "bad" which is their version of satan, are in a never ending war, which means they're not over one another. How can the god you believe in not conclusively destroy evil?

  1. Deism

Deism is on the line between "Theism" and "Atheism". They believe in God, but they think the supernatural does not exist and God does not alter the world. Deism is, technically, atheism. First up, though deists believe in a god, it does not act, so in irs actions, it is nonexistent. Secondly, Deism is equal to Atheism, as atheists do in their hearts know God is real, but deny it. In the same way, Deists say God is real, but deny its action. Furthermore, there is no salvation in Deism, as they reject the idea of salvation, so why pursue it?

Miscellaneous Religions

This is the list of polytheistic religions so that you don't ask, "How about X", since I have debunked the common features of polytheism in polytheism debunking:

  • Hinduism
  • Pantheons/Paganism
  • Shintoism

And these are all religions not falling into either Mono or Poly theism, that I will seperately debunk:

  1. Buddhism

Buddhism believes in reincarnaton. Look at Sikhism, as it also applies.

  1. Confucianism

Confucianism does not believe in gods, as its more of a moral religion than a deitic one, which is in a way, atheism, though they do idolatrize some things that are definitely not gods.  Also, the religion is overly patriarchal, meaning they basically put males over females. And that's not very moral - when Confucianism is basically a guide to "morals".

  1. Taoism

Taoism falls under the reincarnation religion section, so look at Sikhism for the basics.

  1. Satanism

Technically monotheistic. I think it's logical why not to worship a literal thing that symbolizes evil, I don't need to explain that much.

What about Christianity?

Some might say I did not cover trying to debunk Christianity, as my goal is to narrow down what religion us correct. However, the Bible is the most studied of all religious texts, and out of the two thousand years it has been studied, no contradiction has been found. Also, Christianity is not polytheism - it has one God, in three "persons". That's a simple overview of the Trinity.
