Proverbs 29 - Walkthrough

 Hello! Let's begin Proverbs 29, the third last chapter in Proverbs. After Proverbs 31 (which if all thi gs go well, is on 26 July), will be Hebrews 6-13, then Psalms.

Proverbs 29 has 27 short proverbs:

Verse 1: When rebuked, accept it, when being disciplined, follow it, so you may thrive.

Verse 2: The people love and honor the righteous, but they dislike the wicked.

Verse 3: Have self control and stay or turn to be wise.

Verse 4: A just ruler brings prosperity, but bribery ends the prosperity.

Verse 5: Do not attack or harm others, you are putting danger on yourself.

Verse 6: The sins of the evil trap them, but the righteous survive because of righteousness.

Verse 7: The righteous care for the poor, but the wicked are not concerned, they are oppressive to them.

Verse 8: Quarrels are bad, but wisdom heals conflict.

Verse 9: Fools cause conflict and disorder and end peace.

Verse 10: The wicked hate the wise and want to take them down.

Verse 11: Fools accept conflict in open arms, but the wise calms conflict down.

Verse 12: Do not listen to lies, for they bring chaos.

Verse 13: The Lord oversees everyone: the male and female, the poor and rich, the wicked and the wise.

Verse 14: Judge the poor with fairness and equality to those of wealth, for the Lord favors that action.

Verse 15: Discipline others, to give them wisdom, someone without discipline may become a fool.

Verse 16: The wicked loves sin, and they endorse it, but they will be wiped out, and the righteous will  take refuge.

Verse 17: Discipline your children and you will be happy with them, and you will delight in their insight.

Verse 18: Be wise and accept all the wisdoms, for if not, you will be sinful.

Verse 19: Words alone cannot fully discipline, rebuke must be multi layered.

Verse 20: Think before we speak and foresee your sayings, for those who speak without thought are fools.

Verse 21: Those who are spoiled, those who are given only what brings pleasure will not succeed.

Verse 22: Anger begins conflict, conflict brings sin, anger begins with an angry person.

Verse 23: Do not be proud, but the humble will be honored.

Verse 24: Do not join with a thief, do not depart in the way of the wicked, for it is a trap made by them.

Verse 25: Why fear man? Trust the Lord and you will be safe.

Verse 26: The Lord's judgement is more just than the judgement of any man.

Verse 27: The righteous dislike the dishonest, but the dishonest also does to the righteous,
