Galatians 1 - Daily Summary

 Hello! Yesterday we finished off 2 Corinthians and we are currently in progress of completing the next book of the Bible - another of the epistles by Paul - Galatians. Like we have done usually, we will have a book introduction before moving on. The book introduction includes several additions, such as:

* Information about central themes

* Information about the respective church it was for.

Galatians 1 is the first chapter in the book of Galatians. The first five verses of the book of Galatians are the greetings common and present in the other letters of Paul. There is also a wishing of grace and peace (verse  3) and a introduction of the author (verse 1).

Then there is a quick five verse reminder that there is no other gospel than the grace of Christ. We might get confused because of people who want to twist the gospel of Christ (see verse 7), but the grace of Christ is the true gospel (gospel being "good news) and no other is valid.

In verse 11 up to verse 24 it elaborates more on the true gospel of God's grace. The true gospel is not also a gospel built up or constructed by the thought and teaching of sinful humanity but from revelation from Christ. Paul, an ex-Judaist, received Judaist ideas from his traditions and culture, from his ancestors, but God called him to know and spread the true Gospel of God's grace (see verse 15,16).
