Ephesians 3 - Daily Summary
Hello!
Let's do a recap of Ephesians 2 before we study Ephesians 3. Ephesians 2 ends off by saying we are united and built together and no longer foreignors to one another (to other Christians). We are being built as a building to become a Holy Temple of the Lord [a]. And certainly Gentiles will be included in the Holy Temple.
God has a plan for the Gentiles. A marvelous plan He has. So in Ephesians 3 Paul deepens what he said in Ephesians 2. God gave His grace to us and reading His Word will let us understand the mystery of Christ. Gentiles and Jews are members of one body.
God gave Paul grace to preach the Gentiles about Christ and show His administration. God's intent was through the church his wisdom would be known to the "rulers and authorities in the "heavenly realms"". Through faith and Christ Jesus we can approach God with freedom and confiedence.
Paul prays for the Ephesians in verses 14-20. We should pray for one another [b] just like Paul did to the church at Ephesus. Paul prays that we should be strengthened with God's Grace and let the Holy Spirit be received by us. We should know of Christ's love that surpasses knowledge.
