2 Corinthians 12 - Daily Summary
Hello!
Paul continues his boast in 2 Corinthians 12. Though he says boasting is foolish, he wants to elaborate that he is not inferior to the false teachers and apostles that claim to be super apostles. Paul boasts that he is persecuted, in diffuculty, and in weakness but Paul delights in it for Christ's sake. He had a thorn on his skin which tormented Him.
He says he is also sinful and "nothing", but not worse than the supposed 'super apostles" and other people who claim to be things they aren't. The same is to be applied for today. We are to examine and to not fall into anything unbiblical.
Paul expeesses his concern in the final ten verses, wishing the Corinthian church would not return to impurity, sedual sin, and debauchery as well as discord, ambition, gossip, and chaos. We must not have these in our church communities.
