Ezekiel 22-25 - Daily Summary
Hello!
Ezekiel 22 -31 verses
This chapter is about Israel's sin and God's judgement, their disobedience and lack of holiness and faith. This chapter is about the anticipation of God's wrath and destruction. This is a common message in all the prophetic books.
Ezekiel 23 - 49 verses
Ezekiel 23 is a parable of two women called Oholah and Oholibah, and Oholah and Oholibah reprsent Samaria and Judah respectively. Oholah became a prostitute and became idolatrous, so, God punished Oholibah, representative of the northern kingdom, with Assyria, and then Oholibah saw this and became worse, and even worse, and defiled herself, so she too was about to be judged like her sister. This is a parable of the sin of Israel, and the world.
Ezekiel 24 - 27 verses
Ezekiel 24, especially the second half, is about how God anticipated to Ezekiel that a delight in Ezekiel's life would leave but he mustn't mourn. The next day, his wife died. This was an example, Ezekiel became an example to the people of Israel, because God would punish Judah, but they mustn't mourn. Is this a "brutal" example? It is God, so we have to obey him, and he created humans, so he can take them away, as that is what we truly deserve.
