Ezekiel 16-18 - Daily Summary
Hello!
Ezekiel 16 - 63 verses
This chapter describes Israel as an adulterous wife, thus this chapter condemns both Israel at the time and adultery. This chapter is about how God grew Israel and entered a covenant with them, yet Israel became evil and disobedient, describing Israel as a "wife". This especially condemns the intermarriages between Isael and the evil nations around it and the adultery everywhere in Israel.
Ezekiel 17 - 24 verses
The next chapter, Ezekiel 17, is about another parable God commanded Ezekiel to tell to Isrsel. This parable is avout a vine that was planted on good soil by some powerful eagle, representing Nebuchadnezzar. But the vine was discontent and asked another powerful eagle, representing Egypt, for help. God uses this parable to refute specifically Zedekiah, which represented the vine.
Ezekiel 18 - 32 verses
This chapter is practically about the characteristics and explanation of God's right judgement. Firstly, it is about how the righteous will live and be saved. Does this mean that people are saved through works? No, but obviously who is righteous is of course faithful. God judges a person individually. For example, if this righteous man has a violent son who is detestable, God will punish.
