Jeremiah 37,38,39 - Daily Summary

Jeremiah 37:21 verses

Jeremiah 37 is during the time of Zedekiah. Zedekiah nor his people obeyed the command of God, and God was dissappointed. Then, an egyptian army came, so the Babylonian army withdrew, so they thought they were safe, but Jeremiah warned the people that they would be destroyed. When he teied to leave Jerusalem for the Benjamin territory, people thought he was defecting and he was beaten and imprisoned. He was freed after Zedekiah asked him abiut something. He was an unpopular prophet because of his radical, controversial teachings, as true as they are.

Jeremiah 38: 28  verses

Jeremiah 38 is another story chapter. The officials began to plotted to kill Jeremiah because it was believed that he was discouraging, because they disliked his message and was, rather, ignorant. Because of this, they threw him to a cistern, and it was muddy. Finally, however, Ebed Melek, a Cushite, with the kingks permission lifted Jeremiah up from the cistern. Zedekiah asked Jeremiah one last time for the truth, and Jeremiah reluctantly (because Zedekiah did not trust) said that Zedekiah must surrender to the Babylonians if he wanrs to survive with his city intact. Serving and obeying God is not without struggles, not without diffuculty.

Jeremiah 39: 18 verses

Everything goes down in this chapter, Jeremiah 39, because this is when finally many of Jeremiah's prophecies are fulfilled and God's fair judgement is finally declared. Nebuchadnezzar sieged Jerusalem abain, and the wall was destroyed. Zedekiah and all the soldiers fled rather than surrending like Jeremiah had told him, and because of his disobedience even under awareness, he was caught and killed. The palace and houses were burned, Jerusalem was utterly destroyed. But Jeremiah and Ebed Melek still remained. This chapter shows God's judgement in action.

People like to say "Jesus is coming soon", and it's incorrect: Argument Series #1

 Currently, a lot of people has reacted to the tension between the United States and Iran by saying "The end times are soon". Not only do they say this because of the "war", but also because of technologies such as artificial intelligence and Neuralink. In this post I want to challenge this claim.
