Jeremiah 10,11,12,13,14,15 - Daily Summary

 Hello!

Jeremiah 10:25 verses

(I will do six chapters today because I had forgotten to write yesterday). This chapter is an exaltation of God, a worship of God, since it praises Him as the only God, who is All Powerful, and in the same time rebukes the idea of idolatry, which is senseless, untrue, and useless. Becuase idolatry is worship unto the wrong god, God won't tolerate it, and punish it. Jeremiah prays for God to destroy the nations, which bow down to said idols.

Jeremiah 11:23 verses

In this chapter, we read that the Lord sent Jeremiah to try and touch the hearts of the Judahite people so they obey God's Covenant. Sadly, they are stubborn, and continued their ways of idols and Baal, so God said He will punish. Jeremiah is about punishment and wrath against the  stubbornness and disbelief in Jerusalem.

Jeremiah 12:17 verses

This chapter is both about wrath and mercy. Jeremiah pleads for God to punish, and God will and assures it, but God still has amazing mercy exuded in the following words: "But after I uproot (punish) them, I will again have compassion and will bring each of them back....(verse 15). God really did do that 70 years after He punished His people - He delivered them again. This proves of God's mercy and faithfulness.

Jeremiah 13:27 verses

Jeremiah 13 starts with God telling the prophet to buy a linen belt and to keep it dry before placing it in a rock crevice at "Perath". A long time later, Jeremiah went back there on God's instruction and took the belt. The belt was completely ruined. This, all, is an analogy, a metaphor that God will ruin Judah's pride. Thus, this chapter is about the reduction and judgement. Said reduction and judgement will also happen in thr Last Days.

Jeremiah 14 and 15: 22 verses&21verses

These are merged because of similar ideas. Jeremiah 14 is about drought, famine, and the sword (war) which are some of the forms of God's judgement in this case. God must punish harshly. However, the false prophets of Judah try to den. Yet, God reveals His truth here that He will punish with drought, famine, and sword. Jeremiah 15, then, is about judgement too, about the severity of it. God says He will accept repentance, but because of stubbornness He will destroy. Thus, don't be stubborn
