Philippians 2 - Daily Summary
Hello!
Philippians 2 is the third last chapter of Philippians. Before we enter this chapter, let us revise Philippians 1! Philippians 1 concludes by encouraging us to act accordingly with the gospel and suffer for Christ, and struggle for him.
Philippians 2 continues encouraging us to follow Christ's example and gospel. If we want to truly follow and be united with Christ, we should not be selfish but humble. Humility is something very important. Jesus.
Jesus, though God, considered himself as a servant and humbled himself to obey things lower than him. He even became obedient to death. But God exalted him [a] and every knee should bow onto Jesus. So be humble.
Do everything without complaint, grumbling, and arguing, because we must become blameless and pure.
Paul (and Timothy) then notes that Timothy will come soon to Phillipi to strengthen the city and evangelize to the city. Timothy was chosen particularly to do this job. We should be very precise when choosing church leaders and speakers.
