Galatians 6 - Daily Summary
Hello!
Galatians 6 is a very popular chapter and also the last chapter in the 6-chapter long book of the letter sent to the Galatians. The chapter's first ten verses is about doing good to all. We already covered the verse two verses in more detail in one of our Saturday devotions.
The first two verses quickly summarized says we must rebuke one another but with gentleness, and also watch ourselves. So we should both remind others and also look after ourselves and guard ourselves of temptation. We should carry each others burdens and love one another as Christ has proclaimed. [a]
Those were the first two verses. If you want more meticulous explanation on these verses, I have a post about that. Galatians 6:3 warns us from boasting. We should not think we are something berter than we are. We should test our actions and cannot compare to others (Gal 6:4).
Galatians 6 tells us a man reaps what he sows: whoever who sows fleshly pleasures will trap destruction nut we should rather please the Spirit and from the Spirit we reap eternal life. We should do good and we will be rewarded.
The last seven verses are final greetings and some final advice regarding circumcision. Do not boast about circumcision in the flesh, we can only boast in the cross of our Lord Jesus. The circumcised and the uncircumcised are equal to God but new creation counts and is important.
Then follows the final greetings.
