Galatians 2 - Daily Summary

Hello! Galatians 2 is Paul's story after his conversion. He went to Jerusalem and then met with several other leaders. He said he would preach to the Gentiles and spoke privately because there were false believers who were spying them and transgressing the freedom they had in Christ.

Paul saud God does not show favoritism [1] (verse 6), and he wanted to preach the true gospel  to the uncircumcised. God does not show favoritism to the circumcised [2] nor sets aside the uncircumcised. The second part of the story was Paul's opposition to Cephas (Peter).

Peter began to be hyporcritical and discriminate the Gentiles. Paul rebuked Peter because he was not acting in the line with the truth of the gospel, and he was forcibly spreading Jewish customs and traditions. We are justified by faith in Jesus, not works of the law. We are justified by faith in Christ Jesus and His grace.

We should "die to the law" to live for God. What this means is the law doesn't save us and  (We should still follow certain moral laws for God, but they do not neccesarily save) and we are free from sin.
