2 Corinthians 6 - Daily Summary
Hello!
In this chapter there are three themes of topic: Ministry of Reconciliation, Paul's Hardships, and Warning Against Idolatry.
The first of which continues the last chapter. It tells us we must not receive God's grace in vain. When Paul says this, he refers to the himself as "a co worker" in God. Paul tells us and them to receive God's grace since now is the "day of salvation".
The next part us about how Paul has went through hardships such as persecution, physical attacks, and poverty. However, we should have endurance and remember that what we will receive is much greater than our current troubles.
He also warns against idolatry. We should not communicate or be with unbelievers too much. We are the temple of the living God, do not have other gods. In our time, we may not bow down to a statue, but there can be other forms of idolatry, such as doing something (gaming, shopping, etc) too much that it becomes an "idol".
