2 Corinthians 3 - Daily Summary
Hello!
The first six verses of Second Corinthians' third chapter continues last chapter's topic. It says, as the "spreaders of the good aroma of Christ", we should be humble. Our competence and good will comes from God, not ourselves. We are a letter of Christ and the text is written with the Spirit of the living heart. So be humble, as the Spirit gives life.
The second part of 2 Corinthians 3 is about the covenant. The Old Covenant of Israel was not as good as the new Covenant. Firstly, in the old covenant, if someone was to look at the face of Moses, he would die. This covenant can bring death, while the new covenant brings righteousness and wisdom.
Moses had to cover his face with veil so the Israelites could not see him. But in Christ, the veil is taken away, and those who turn to the Lord's veil is taken away. Those who have unveiled faces are going to be transformed with ever increasing glory and sanctified.
