Psalms 146-150 - Daily Summary + Announcement

Hello! Today, before the summary begins, we'll have a short announcement.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Today is the final episode of the Psalmistic Series (Psalms 1-150), which started thirty days ago. We will be moving on to the Ecclesiastic Series, covering Ecclesiates chapter 1-12. That will be chapter by chapter until 14 Sep (ideally).

DAILY SUMMARY

Psalms 146 - Of David. (Likely)

This praise psalm is not only a psalm of exaltation but advice for us - advice such as not putting our trust in humans nor fear them, but rather place our trust in the Lord. He is the Maker, Controller, and Savior, He is almighty but loving, and He is especially loving to the righteous.

Psalms 147 - Unknown. Possibly of David.

Praise psalm again! Though you might be getting dissatisfied with the sheer number and repetition of praise psalms, this chapter itself also says that praise is good. It is mostly about how the Lord is powerful, loving, and praiseworthy.

Psalm 148 - Unknown.

This praise psalm is about how the Lord is above all his Creation for He is both more powerful than it and created it. So praise the Lord, everyone should because of his greatness and incomprehensibility.

Psalms 149 - Unknown.

The second last psalm in the Biblical Book of Psalms. It has a warlike theme, though a praise psalm, and a wish that the Israelites may inflict vengeance on the wicked nations and destroy the evil. It praises the Lord because He takes delight in Israel.

Psalms 150 - Unknown.

This psalm is a short praise psalm praising the Lord for His power and greatness, encouraging us to praise him, and also includes lots of musical instruments (harps, lyres, trumpets, timbrels, cymbals) while praising the Lord. The final psalm in the Bible.

SEMI ANNOUNCEMENT

That was the entire Book of Psalms summarized, 1 paragraph each chapter. That means, there should be 150 paragraphs of commentary throughout the thirty episode series. Tommorow, expect Ecclesiastes 1. Ecclesiastes is after Proverbs.

The verse, Psalms 150:6, the last verse in the Book of Psalms:

Let everything that has breath praise the LordPraise the LORD. Psalms 150:6
