Ecclesiastes 8 - Summary & Walkthrough

 Ecclesiastes 8:

The first part of Ecclesiastes 8 continues last chapter's topic about Wisdom and how being wise is a good difference to being foolish. Only verse 1 is about Ecclesiastes 7' wisdom topic. The rest of the chapter is about a topic titled "Obey the King".

In said subchapter, Solomon explains that we should obey our leaders and rulers. In this case, it is a king, since Israel was ruled by kings. Do not oppose or mess around with a leader above you, as that person can do whatever he/she wants.

So, to avoid harm and damage, it is better to obey a leader's command. This is a wise thing to do. We do not know the future or have power over time time after our death. The latter part of this chapter drifts off from the original topic. Solomon says that there should be judgement to the wicked, rather than praise.

People like to say "Jesus is coming soon", and it's incorrect: Argument Series #1

 Currently, a lot of people has reacted to the tension between the United States and Iran by saying "The end times are soon".
