Ecclesiastes 7 - Walkthrough

Hello! Today marks the First Week of Ecclesiastes complete, and we are now more than halfway through.

Ecclestiastes 7 is a poem entitled "Wisdom".

The first meditation / stanza is about death, sadness, and mourning. Solomon says that death is the destiny of everyone and is normal, and that "sadness is good for the heart". This is because the wise mourn but the fools celebrate.

Another meditation, verse 10, regards nostalgia. It says that if we miss the past for its supposed goodness, we are being foolish. Trust in God's plan for the present and future rather than obsessing over your past's pleasure or vividness.

It also says that wisdom and understanding is a good thing that preserves lives. It is a shelter, just like how money is, but money does not preserve a life.

But Solomon also warns us not to be so-called "overwise" or "overrighteous". Solomon says jit destroys ourselves. But in the sane time do not be overwicked. Fearing God will avoid all extremes in all measures. But nobody is truly righteous. Everybody sins, and everybody does wrong.

Do not listen to lies, and liars, it continues. Ecclesiastes 7 is a collection of multiple pieces of advice, wisdom, and "wisdom regarding wisdom". Thank you for reading!
