Psalms 91-95 - Daily Summary

Hello and thank you for viewing! Today's Daily Psalmistic Episode is Episode 19 (Psalms 91-95). Let us begin our summary.

Psalms 91 - Of Moses (possibly David).

This is a psalm encouraging us to do something the wise does: that is, trust God and take refuge in Him. For whoever does this will be saved by the Lord God and you will greatly prosper for you are favored by Him, for you do not trust in other things, but rather the, who will rescue and protect you. And you will be granted Salvation!

Psalms 92 - Of David.

This is a praise psalm. It encourages us to do another wise thing - praise the Lord God, and worship the Most High. For the Lord is good, He created and He judges those who are evil, but is Judgement is always Just. The righteous, those who Honor and Praise His Name, will prosper and fluorish because of His favor then them.

Psalms 93 - Possibly of David.

This very short psalm reflects something we know but sometimes don't remember enough - the Lord's power. He created the world and can change His creation and His power is like no other, His power is above the power of his creations.

Psalms 94 - Possibly of David.

This psalm also tells another what will be done by The Lord God - He will judge and destroy the wicked, for they are arrogant, they boast, they crush and murder, they attack the disadvantaged. The psalmist also warns these people to change and know what will come to them if they are evil. The Lord is all-knowing and knows their plots and schemes. But the wise are blessed by the Lord greatly, so be upright.

Psalms 95 - Likely of David.

This praise psalm encourages us to worship God greatly, to exalt His Name and thank Him, for He is great, He is the King, and there is no other god besides Him. His creation is his belongings. Do not harden our hearts but rather accept and worship Him!

That's all! Thank you for reading. The verse, Psalms 91:12:

12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree,
    they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;

(Verse Explanation: The wise will prosper. A cedar of lebanon by the time was a tree of high value and price, and its wood was expensive for its high quality).
