Psalms 71-75 - Daily Summary + Announcement
Hello! Today is Psalmistic Episode 15, the halfway point of the Psalms. There will be a very brief announcement before beginning the summary.
Anouncement
After Psalmistic Episode 30 (Psalms 145-150), the Eclessiastic Series will begin (Eclessiates 1-12). This is announced because of the halfway point of the Psalms.
Psalms 71 - Of David.
The seventy first psalm is all about how we can take refuge in Him. For He will rescue us and deliver us from the brutal arms of the wicked, for He despises the evil. The righteous, however, will always have hope because of the Lord God, so Praise be to Him.
Psalms 72 - Of Solomon.
This psalm is a psalm written by Solomon pleading the Lord to grant him wisdom and righteousness and to endure, be powerful, and be respected. The psalm ends with a stanza of praise.
Psalms 73 - Of Asaph.
This psalm is an exceptional psalm about envy. In this case, Asaph envies the wicked for their worldly riches and power. He envies them for how they have no struggle because of their scheeming ways, they are arrogant and they prosper, though they are malicious. Asaph envies them, but he remembers that the Lord will destroy them.
Psalms 74 - Of Asaph.
This psalm fits with precedent psalm, pleading the Lord to save His nation and destroy the evil who show no respect for His name. He pleads the Lord destroy the wicked with his fury, as they mock Him and His great Name.
Psalms 75 - Of Asaph.
This is the midway point in the book of Psalms. This is a psalm of praise, praise because we know the Lord has done wonderful things, He is always here, and His judgement is perfect. He detests the wicked, for they boast and are violent.
That's all! Thank you for reading.
