Psalms 51-55 - Daily Summary
Hello! Today's eleventh continuation is Psalms 51 until 55. Let's begin!
Psalms 51 - Of David.
For the director of music, Asaph. This psalm was written by David when the prophet Nathan rebuked him after he sinned by comitting adulteru and murder. David confesses his sins and begs the Lord for forgiveness and deliverance.
Psalms 52 - Of David.
For the director of music, Asaph. This psalm was written by David when his location was exposed to Saul when Doeg the Edomite saw him at the house of Ahimelek. This psalm is about how the wicked and those who boast of their evil will be destroyed and the righteous will survive, for the Lord favors them but detests the wicked.
Psalms 53 - Of David.
For the director of music, Asaph. This psalm of David is about fools. Fools do not believe in God, rhey are corrupt and violent. The Lord sees earth and all its wicked inhabitants, and he destroys them. But God restores and allows the righteous to greatly prosper, He saves them.
Psalms 54 and 55 - Of David.
For the director of music. This psalm was written when Saul was pursuing him and when he was in a troublesome situation. He cries to the Lord with this psalm for deliverance and help, as he is faithful that the Lord will certainly shield him from evil. Psalms 55 has a similar theme.
