Psalms 36-40 - Daily Summary

Hello! Psalms 36 to 40, the eighth continuation of the Daily Psalms Series:

Psalms 36 - Of David.

For the director of music, Asaph. This psalm is a psalm of warning, warning the evil and the foolish. The foolish are those who do not fear the Lord, they love sin and they gossip and slander. The Lord will destroy these people, but the Lord loves the opposite of these people - the wise who fear Him.

Psalms 37 - Of David.

This psalm warns us not to be like the fools described in Psalms 36. Do not envy or bond with them, for they wither and be destroyed. Keep trusting in the Lord and take refuge in Him. Refrain from doing acts of evil, for the Lord will destroy them, the Lord will judge them.

Psalms 38 - Of David.

This song is a psalm of petition to the Lord written by King David. David confesses his great sins and shortcoming. He begs the Lord not to rebuke him with wrath and destruction, for he depends on the Lord and he begs the Lord not to bring destruction on him.

Psalms 39 - Of David.

For the director of music, Jeduthun. This is a psalm of perition too. David hopes that the Lord will save him from sin, fools, and destruction, for he is vulnerable and his days are short compared to the Lord's.

Psalms 40 - Of David.

For the director of music, Asaph. This is a psalm talking about how He will listen to our prayers and fulfill the wise's desires. He blesses those who trusts Him and those who spread his Word with other people. The Lord gives mercy and love to the wise.

That is all! Thank you for reading Psalms 36 to 40 - summarized.
