Psalms 16-20 - Daily Summary
Psalms 16-20, the fourth episode of the Daily Psalms Series:
Psalms 16 - Of David.
This psalm is about how we can take refuge in the Lord as He is great and loving to those who favors - the wise, those who fear Him. The fools, who worship idols made by human hands will be destroyed. We must praise the Lord as he guides us and protects us.
Psalms 17 - Of David.
This is a prayer psalm. It is about David praying to God, praying that He will hear him and will shield him from calamity. David hopes for the Lord to protect him, as he follows Him. He also prays for justice that the Lord will destroy the wicked.
Psalms 18 - Of David.
For the director of music, Asaph, about when the Lord shielded him from Saul and all his other enemies. It is a psalm of worship and thankfulness - thankfulness for the Lord's protection, as He delivered David from distress.
Psalms 19 - Of David,
For the director of music, Asaph. It is a psalm of great worship - worshipping on how the Lord is powerful and he created, that he is loving and merciful, and his judgement has no flaw - they are righteous. His Word is pure and precious and he gives guidance onto us.
Psalms 20 - Of David.
For the director of music, Asaph. It is a psalm of prayer. It hopes that we will be Answered By the Lord when in distress and be protected by Him, for the Lord loves and shields those who Fear Him, those who Honor Him.
