Psalms 111-115 - Daily Summary
Hello! Today's daily Psalms summary:
Psalms 111,112,113 - Of David.
A worhip psalm. Though basically since Psalms 95 most of the psalms has been worship psalms, it is never enough, for the Lord is infinitely praiseworthy! This psalm extold the Lord bevause of His wisdom and righteous and kindness, He is loving. Psalms 112 has a similar theme of praise but is also a warning to the fools and wicked, for they will be destroyed, and advice to be wise and righteous. Psalms 113 has a similar theme of praise and exaltation, a great psalm for times of praise to the Lord God, for the Lord is powerful yet still loving and merciful, He does not abuse the disadvantaged.
Psalms 114 - Of David.
Psalms 114 is about how the Lord is above creation but still merciful and all loving. David praises God for how he parted the Jordan River and all the other miracles he did for the Israelites. So David praises the Lord for this.
Psalms 115 - Of David.
This psalm is a psalm of praise, but has many unique lessons. One of which sort of mimics the motto "Soli Deo Gloria", in Psalms 115:1, reminding us that the Glory we give shall be given to God, not ourselves. Another lesson is now the Lord will punish the idolatrous. So David commends everyone to trust in God, for He is all powerful and Loving.
That is all for today! This is the twenty third episode, and here is the verse, Psalms 112:6:
6 Surely the righteous will never be shaken;
they will be remembered forever. - King David, Psalms 112:6
